| Did you know that many colleges and universities offer a tuition benefit for its employees that may allow you, your spouse and/or your dependants to get a degree for free as long as you are employed there? The benefit may vary depending upon your job type, the length of time you've been employed there and whether you are full or part time. Still, this could potentially be a great option. Colleges and universities employ all sort of individuals, not just faculty. Health professionals, cooks, maintenance workers, landscapers, child care workers, secretaries, electricians, carpenters and many others are needed. Check out the available opportunities at our local institutions. |
No job search should be done without careful prayer and petition to the Lord as to what He would have for you. When you are sure that you are in God's will as far as your job transition, you can be confident and content in your position. Sometimes the best thing is not to get the job, especially if it will pull you out of church, take you away from your daily devotions or cause you to compromise your convictions. The Lord knows; seek His guidance (and follow it)! "Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall her not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." Matthew 6:30-33 "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord." James 1:5-7 "The LORD knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever. They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied." Psalm 37:18-19 "Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through and steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also." Matthew 6:19-21 |
